Soho

A hyper-local, real-time, dynamic and completely thorough set of mapping for the London village of Soho

The Soho project was my first at Applied. It involved me surveying the area shop by shop, street by street in the snow.

The map was designed for pedestrians and had to show an incredible amount of information, we included all layovers, zebra crossing, barriers and pathways throughout Soho. The map featured progressive zoom which changed the information as the user zoomed in.

Transport was an important aspect of the application, we wanted to highlight the boris bike docks, bus stop and trains. All of them were linked to live API's giving us the ability to show up to date information.

The application featured the first ever real-time map, the user could input a time and the map would augment to show them what was open and what was closed. We also provided information about all of the stores found in Soho.
